JUDEA & SAMARIA - BIBLICAL HEARTLAND or OCCUPIED WEST BANK?

So many Bible stories were set in places mentioned as Judea and Samaria.

Just before His ascension, Jesus said to his disciples:
“… you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

For us in Australia and the South pacific islands—we are at the ends of the earth. But Judea and Samaria? The heartland of Israel. If Jesus was on earth today and used the term ‘Judea and Samaria’—He would likely be vilified for being ‘politically incorrect’.
Yet most politicians and mainstream media today call this Biblical heartland, “the West Bank” or occupies territory. If Jesus had been born in this era, instead of 2000 years ago, Mary and Joseph would not be allowed in Bethlehem! Today Jews are not allowed to enter the city!
