The 176th Maintenance Squadron, part of the Alaskan Air National Guard, achieved a command climate survey first. 100% of the women responding agree…they’ve been subject to harassment or discrimination.

This football bat of an organization is also set up so troops don’t know who’s in charge.

To top off this steaming pile of excrement the unit commander, Colonel Michael Cummings, was aware of an “endless stream of complaints” excused away.

Pro tip to commanders, if you have an endless stream of complaints it’s an issue. It could be a squeaky wheel in the machine or the machine itself is defective. No matter the root cause, you are responsible.

176th, listen up

Col Cummings-If you weren’t advised on this issue by your senior enlisted they failed you. If they did and you didn’t listen, step up and take your lumps. You’ve earned them.

Senior enlisted-“shame”. You just let your commander get run over by a bus and your Airmen don’t know the chain of command? Fix yourself.

junior enlisted and junior officers -Your command failed you. Squared away commands do exist.
