Georges & Pauline Vanier

The beatification process of Vaniers was approved by the archbishop of Ottawa on two separate occasions: first for Georges Vanier in 1985, and then for Pauline in 1991. Based on many interviews and on the archives of the family deposited in Ottawa, five volumes have been published with a view to their canonization. There remain, however, several collections of family correspondence which were not accessible to their first biographers; for there to be a definitive biography of the couple, one will have to wait a few more years.
