Police: Two Arrested for Occupying Stolen Car

Two men were arrested for traveling in a stolen car, the Naples Police Department said. Police say they noticed a bronze 2007 Honda Accord traveling southbound on Gordon Dr. occupied by four people making suspicious movements inside. Once the vehicle parked, an officer drove up to the car to inform the driver of a parking violation that was just committed. At the same time, the driver and passengers exited the vehicle and began walking towards a nearby beach. Police ran the vehicles license plate and discovered the car was reported as stolen. NPD along with a K9 Unit and Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies began searching for the subjects and came upon two of the men hiding in a nearby garage. Police questioned 24-year-old Eric Cobb and 19-year-old Ty Jones about the stolen car which they denied knowing to be stolen. Both were arrested and face Grand Theft charges.
