Mattjsltan was within the top contributors of the now defunct indie music platform Fandalism of philip kaplan. he was a teenage idol founder member of the cream-hendrix clone band and power trio Fried Ice, a rage with the British and Australian Naval Bases in Changi , Sembawang, Singapore and the Singapore American School. He went to England and met Jeff Beck in 1971 and actually spoke to Jeff by the curbside in Paddington, after meeting Jeff who stopped at the zebra-crossing at Westborne Terrace, Paddington, thus deciding to become an original releasing his first indie casette album ZbraXing *zebra crossing, which was reviewed in a UK FM magazine which the reviewer judged as "either a work of genius or very bad guitar playing". Fast forward to 2022, nothing's changed, his music has soared tremendously, totalling being inspired by the trinity of guitar, JOhn McLaughlin, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix.
