Just before 6:45 p.m., emergency crews successfully hoisted the semi from its precarious position onto the bridge.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported that the semi was towed away from the Clark Memorial Bridge shortly before 8 p.m.

Following the removal of the semi, KYTC engineers initiated an inspection of the bridge.
