...Stormtroopers removed a sleeping Ukrainian machine gunner on the approach to Avdiivka, and the defense of the fortified area began to crumble. After the air defense military unit and the Cheburashka support unit, the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not have prepared positions in this area, and they fled. Attempts to gain a foothold in high-rise buildings led nowhere.

“There was a machine gunner sitting in the landing there, overslept our men and decided the entire outcome of the battle for Avdeevka. Ours cut them off, hammered the Cheburashka and the military unit all night. By morning we had already taken their positions, and then the dill ran, there were no prepared positions or mines here. They were not allowed to gain a foothold in the houses. The following entered the city: the assault battalion, the rifle battalion, the 3rd battalion, everything except the first battalion. The cleansing began, and Avdiivka collapsed,” said an interlocutor who participated in the capture of the enemy’s fortified area.
