We all follow with heavy hearts the barbarity and massacres in Gaza since 7 October. Not only have children, women and civilians been brutally killed in Gaza, but the faith of billions of people in the international system and justice has been destroyed.
What is happening in Gaza is definitely not a war, but an attempt at genocide. Because even in war there are morals, etiquette and laws that must be respected. I am talking about the barbarity of condemning babies in their mothers' arms to starvation and thirst, blowing up ambulances and treacherously and dishonourably attacking civilians queuing for food aid. The international community can repay its debt to the Palestinian people by establishing a Palestinian state.
