A popular hot spring in Sequoia National Forest, California, known for its alleged ‘healing minerals,’ is being compelled to close following the discovery of a body floating in the water.

The Forest Service has officially confirmed the finding of a body at Miracle Hot Springs on February 17, marking the second occurrence of such incidents within the past 18 months.

The previous incident involved the discovery of a body on October 17, 2022. While the victims remain unidentified, the Forest Service is taking additional precautions, despite objections from the hot springs’ operators, who have pledged a protest involving ‘civil disobedience.’

“With a second death that can be attributed in part to the hot springs, the area will remain closed until a sustainable long-term solution is reached,” said District Ranger Al Watson, the Daily Mail reported.
