With the ever expanding national debt, there will come a point when investors will no longer trust the US dollar. The US government will have to restart the system and reestablish credibility through backing of the currency by gold. The new system will likely be a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). He discusses the privacy concerns related to a potential CBDC.
