Book of Job: The rich man in the parable that Jesus described in Luke 12, made critical errors in judgment when planning his course of action for this lifetime. For he hadn't considered the penalty of his decision-making that would cost him his life, prematurely. His eyes had been blinded by the cares of this world, and likewise, he was enraptured by the luxuries there within. Matthew 6: 20-21 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.
