I think Putin went in slow, as it was obvious to everyone that the usurped American Government would bleed the nation dry financially (On Purpose). Making it nigh impossible eventually to prevent the USA from doing anything to stop the rest of the world. The rest of the world who gasping to take their big chunk of the planet that up until now was ruled by the US Military. (Okay whether intentional or not that is what has happened)
