Grants Help Fund New Nonstop Flight From Small Northern Michigan Airport

A small Northern Michigan airport announces a new nonstop flight to Texas.
Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, through United Airlines, will be offering a new flight to Houston, Texas, starting this summer.
A $750,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Small Community Air Service Development Program is helping fund the nonstop service.
Flights will begin on June 29 and continue through August 17 and will only operate on Saturdays.
