The Israeli army, fired a David Sling advanced air defence missile

According to the Israeli army, they fired a David Sling advanced air defence missile to intercept Hezbullah's air defence missile.

They were successful. However, Hezbullah fired again unlike previous times and so, shot down successfully the Hermes - 450 UAV

The Israeli army is maybe the only army today using air defense to protect its air forces inside enemy territory beyond border.

In response to shooting it down, the Israeli army claims to have attacked air defence related assets in Baalbek, as a retaliation to encur a heavy price on Lebanon's actions.
