Well I before I answer the question, I want to, I want to preface that by telling people what the premier's attitude and what the government of Alberta's attitude is regarding a COVID inquiry.

So, I was actually presented a question to her last Friday when she was in Bonnyville for a fundraiser.

And this is the question given the recent Federal Court decision declaring the Trudeau government suppression of the Freedom Convoy protest unconstitutional, the July 2023 Alberta Court decision declaring the Alberta lockdown orders illegal, the strong recommendations of the Manning Panel report commissioned by your own government, the COVID motions adopted by UCP membership at the November AGM, and the compelling NCI report.

Will you now take the lead on public accountability and amnesty in Canada by being the first premier to Commission a full public inquiry, vested with the teeth and force of law into the overall management and resulting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic?

That was the question.

Guess what her answer was?

She said, well, “who do you want arrested?”

And she said that she “thought it would be a waste of time and money” and that she thought “that public officials are protected”, they're shielded by their status as politicians.
