"Defense, anti-terrorism, intelligence and national security policy expert John Quirk describes the growing Communist influence in Central America, including Panama, Venezuela, the Bahamas, Domenica, and other countries including establishing a port in Florida. China's goals include the sale of armaments, securing ports, establishing pipelines, signals and intelligence facilities, and more. Huchison Whampoa, the Chinese company which controls the ports on either side of the Panama Canal is discussed. They discuss how China buys support in these countries by building public works projects. This edition of Conservative Roundtable was shot in Panama in 2005.
