The Most Iconic Tool You Never Heard Of - Irwin 900 Screw Starter

In this video we look at a vintage Irwin model 900 Screw Starter.
Sometimes referred to as a Gimlet, this is a simple device for creating a pilot hole for a screw, without using a drill.
These were common tools for woodworking a long time ago, but have become less common as power tools have taken over.
We'll compare the vintage Irwin to a modern Masterforce version, as well as using an awl and a push drill to make the pilot hole.
