Executive FIRED at Disney | NEW President of Walt Disney Motion Picture Studios

Disney announced they are replacing Sean Baily, the president of Walt Disney Motion Pictures Studios, with David Greenbaum, formerly Searchlight co-president.

Baily has overseen the production of many of the recent Disney live action adaptation which have seen diminishing returns. It appears this move by Bob Iger is intended to alleviate concerns from shareholders over Disney’s poor box office performance this last year. This comes before the shareholder vote to remove board members, something that is usually uneventful, but has become a campaign between the current Disney board and investor Nelson Peltz who wants to install new members to turn the company around.
