Why is God's Grace "Irresistible"? (Calvinism vs. Arminianism)

When God chooses to reveal Himself to the sinner, He opens their eyes and gives them true sight. That person then sees God for who He is: a righteous being, the Judge of the Earth, the King -- and yet also a merciful Father and Savior. This newfound awareness is supernaturally given, and therefore is a permanent and irreversible change to the soul.
