Could the IVF rouse in Alabama be to get republicans talking positively about something in the space of abortion without saying it? Although she quotes it as a “popular” 🧐 procedure, 2% of babies being born through it… seems like a topic in the orbit of abortion soas to force republicans to comment on it.

In this article: https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/23/us/alabama-ivf-embryos-supreme-court-ruling-legislation/index.html

It states that the AG won’t prosecute those who do IVF and includes Trump saying he supports it and encourages the legislature to work it out quickly. This of course wasn’t mentioned in the FB post rattling off how it was a distraction.

This is how both parties use not just women’s bodies but now their fertilized eggs (and potential future babies) for political purposes. Did they move this in order to get the Supreme Court to rule on it and trigger statements that then can be magnified or ignored (trump’s).
