What we are really looking at are artifacts from the time of the nephilim (fallen angels, therefore no longer divine / connected, so then demonic / separated from Yah (God) ), who took upon themselves [serpentine] flesh AND other relics of the rephaim (hybrid giants), their progeny. There is very little to virtually no doubt that other hybrid creatures were produced via genetic manipulation.

Those were very earthbound, or simply earthly creatures, although those having immortal spirits, perhaps limited to the nephilim, could roam and seek human souls (body+spirit) to possess with their own spirit entering them.

Yah placed most all of them in spiritual chains of darkness, in a place called Tartarus (Greek), which must be what is also called the Abyss or bottomless pit.
I do not wish to go any deeper than to point out that when war broke out in heaven, angels fell, and the next time we see such spiritual creatures (which seem to look and sound like military helicopters) is when they rise up from the abyss of the Earth, in Revelations 9 - the fifth shofar trumpeting.

Exactly where, if we can actually equate it to any physical location, this place is isn't identified. Research into "abyss" leads to several definitions, including the bottom of the sea, which might even better include the waters beneath the oceans OR perhaps even ice, as that of the arctic and ANTARCTICA, where there are underground lakes and streams and caverns. What a mysterious world we do live in and planet of long history we live on, indeed!
