An overwhelming spirit is one of many different spirits heaviness that can weigh people down with cares and burdens... This overwhelming spirit can weigh a person down to the point to where the person finally gives in and nothing is accomplished... Like spirits of anxiety, fear, worry, dispare and still others, an overwhelming spirit is a spirit of heaviness as many Bible translations use in this verse... Yet as with which ever of these spirits invade your life, God cloaks us in a Garment of Praise to overcome these heavy, giants of evil spirits...
Phillipeans 4:6 tells us to bring everything to the LORD with prayer, supplications and thanksgiving to make our request know to God... God will always see us through and break you free of the binds and weight of this spirit of heaviness...
