Bismuth is an element bearing number 83 on the periodic table of elements. It's widely believed to be a transitional metal and bismuth is WONDERFUL. It has a tremendous amount of industrial applications due to it's stability, low melting point, low conductivity, and low toxicity. You can also grow really cool crystals from it. So let's talk about why you don't see natural bismuth crystals very many places, and how people make the crystals you do see.
