Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones), a talented storm researcher haunted by a past encounter with a tornado, returns to the field. Partnering with the tech-savvy and thrill-seeking Javi (Anthony Ramos), they join a team chasing unprecedentedly powerful tornadoes in Oklahoma.

Along the way, they cross paths with the seasoned storm chaser Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), whose risky methods clash with Kate's scientific approach. As the storms intensify, both teams must overcome their differences and utilize their unique talents to survive the perilous weather and unravel the mysteries of these monstrous tornadoes.
