Bad guys often work in pairs or even groups. Just because you’ve stopped your immediate threat, doesn’t mean you’re in the clear. The time to assess for additional threats is whenever there’s a lull in the shooting activity. Your objective is to sweep the entire 360-degree environment around you, without missing any area.
