God is good all the time 1040: Helping the Family of God...Not our Job??

A person that I check on occasionally just made it a point that if you go to him for prayer, he will not pray for you. Rather, he will tell you, you have the power to heal yourself, get over that problem and you don't need your hand held anymore!! This is not the way of the Lord, this is not looking out and helping the family of God, this is not helping the widows and orphans and it most certainly is what the community outside our family will believe is what God is. And this is why it is counter productive to God's will for the body of believers.
