Fireball seen in Massachusetts crossed 11 states

Residents along the East Coast are puzzled following numerous reports of a luminous ball of light streaking across the night sky.

The meteoric event was captured on a security camera in Virginia.

Contrary to expectations, the American Meteor Society notes that there was no meteor shower predicted during that period.

The organization received 225 reports of a brilliant fireball in 11 states, extending from Massachusetts to parts of Canada, WWLP 22 News reported.
