Storm Shield Forecast morning update 2/19/18

The snow level has fallen to 1500 feet this morning, meaning it will be icy on the mountain passes. Early morning snow and gusty winds will lower visibility, making driving difficult. We'll be slowly drying out this morning, but it stays cold in the mountains all day, with Tehachapi and Frazier Park staying at or below freezing. The Kern River Valley will get to the low 40s today while the south San Joaquin Valley will top out in the low 50s briefly. At least the air quality is great!
