Satisfied in Contentment.

I am learning there are two ways to view contentment and two ways it can be translated. The world’s and The Bible’s. The world’s view is a state of being happy and searching for satisfaction but the world isn’t ever satisfied or happy. It teaches to want more when you don’t need it so when you need it, you don’t want it. Like the Rolling Stones song says “I can’t get no satisfaction, Cause so I try, and try and I try.” The Biblical view is finding a place of inward assurance in God’s supreme power and authority. Why? Because He is good and it is out of His goodness that He will grow the fruit of joy and peace in our lives through our circumstances when we have a lot or very little. So as believers, when we choose to give God our gratitude and thanksgiving despite our outward circumstance. This is where the fruit matures and grows so others can come alongside you and learn how to allow God to grow and mature their fruit.
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭43‬-‭45‬ says good fruit doesn’t grow on bad trees and bad fruit on good ones. Out of the virtues (fruit) stored in your heart is what will overflow from that storehouse and there your fruit is revealed by your words and actions.
