Red Columbine-Early Flowering

The Red Columbine (Aquilegia formosa) is a perennial wildflower/herb that grows in damp forests, meadows, clearings, beaches, and creek/streambanks at low to high elevations. The Red Columbine can be found in British Columbia, Alaska, Washington State, and Oregon and is also known as Red Rain-Flowers, Grizzly-Bears Den, and Culverwort .
