Holy Quran - Surah 45, Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching) - Recitation by Al-Afasi

Surah Al-Jathiya is the 45th surah (chapter) of The Glorious Quran. Name of the surah means The Crouching. It has 37 ayaat (verses) and was revealed in the holy city of Makkah i.e., before Prophet ﷺ migrated to the city of Medina. This surah can be found in juz / paara 25.

Introduction:

This Meccan sûrah, which takes its name from the kneeling of every faith-community on Judgment Day mentioned in verse 28, is critical of those who turn away from Allāh's revelations, deny the Resurrection, ridicule the truth, and fail to appreciate Allāh's countless favours and marvels of creation. The dreadful judgment of these deniers is featured in the last part of the sûrah. All these themes are emphasized in the next sûrah as well.
