Donald Trump has spoken to thousands of voters at a South Carolina rally on the eve of the state's Republican primary.

The former president is leading by more than 30 points in the polling average – despite South Carolina being opponent Nikki Haley's home state.

Despite the results, Ms Haley's team say she will stay in the race.

During his speech, Trump addressed the Alabama Supreme Court ruling which considers frozen embryos to be children under state law.

“Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, healthy American families,” Mr Trump said.

“I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious, little, beautiful baby.”
