Special Olympics athletes battle for Kentucky state tournament berths

Hundreds of Special Olympics athletes are spending Saturday battling on the basketball court for berths to the Kentucky state tournament. A total of 42 teams are competing in nine divisions at the Region 2 Tournament. Seventeen will earn automatic berths in the state tournament. The tournament's final game starts at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sports of All Sorts in Florence, Kentucky.
