Jim McLaughlin of McLaughlin and Associates Polls cites a new poll done in New York State that reveals President Trump is getting 26 percent of the black vote. In contrast, John McCain and Mitt Romney got less than 10 percent of the black vote when they ran for president. "Donald Trump was getting a quarter of the black vote in New York, and we are seeing it expand," McLaughlin said. "It's not just the immigration issue. Black voters, Hispanic voters, and young people will tell us all the time that they were doing better when Donald Trump was president. The economy was better. We didn't have anything called inflation. People felt safe."
