Nina May on Reparations: Who Should Pay? - The Truth Starts Now
Nina May is Founder and Chairman of the Renaissance Foundation and Renaissance Women Productions which is currently producing the Daily Bread TV Series that she wrote and is directing. She also wrote and produced the award-winning documentary, “Emancipation Revelation/Revolution” which explores the history of the civil rights movement and the role that both major political parties played in it (www.ERRVideo.com) The sequel to ERR, that she also wrote and produced is “Reparations: Who Should Pay?”
Her feature length, award-winning, movie, Life Fine Tuned, won the Top Applause Award at the International Familiy Film Festival in Hollywood, and was featured in the Chinese/American film festival with only 19 other American films.
Nina has created several TV shows including, “An American Renaissance,” “Just Horsing Around in Virginia,” and “Renaissance Discoveries” which features independent film producers, directors and writers as well as new musical talent. She was co-owner of Virginia Living TV station, which creates programs for the Comcast channel in Central Virginia.
Nina wrote and produced a daily radio commentary, available to over 1800 radio stations nationwide and was the publisher of Paradigm 2000 and Renaissance. Her art series, honoring the heroes and victims of the attack 911, has been around the world. She wrote the music and lyrics to a song that accompanies the display called “Fallen Heroes.” In her spare time Nina works on construction projects, designing and serving as the general contractor.
Nina serves as co-chairman of the Recreation Wish List Committee in Washington, DC, which built the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center in Anacostia. She also servers on the board of Castleton Festival and is a founding member of the Film Committee of NRB.
She earned her B.A. from Stetson University, DeLand, Florida, and attended the George Mason School of Law, Arlington, Virginia. Nina holds a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is married to Colby May.
