Patients should know that given the state of the art of data hacking online that all electronic health records and telehealth sessions are at risk of being hacked. Patients should only use local, face to face healthcare services with providers who do not use electronic health records. If there is no other option patients should be careful about what they say to their providers because their providers cannot ensure the confidentiality of their personally identifiable information.
