Understand the Bible like Never Before (pt. 2)

If you were to sample a group of Christians as to which translation of the bible they use, you are going to get mixed results. So why are there many translations? This video not comprehensive, and but it should give you a brief overview of the timeline of how we got the bible from the original languages into English. If you are new to this series, I would encourage you to watch Episode one as this is the second part of a four-part series on how to understand the bible like never before.

He comes from what appears to be an ex-mainline, now Jewish (though not messianic) perspective. He has some really good info, though we would agree to disagree on a few things. He is one of the best organizers of information I have seen on this platform and I really appreciate the work he put into his chart and was the (obvious) starting point for mine. I would have used his chart, but I wanted to add a few translations with an evangelical focus, as well as show version updates.
