Convicted Child Rapist leaps off bridge following PIT / TVI Maneuver by Arkansas State Police

While only the suspect knows WHY he jumped, Mallory Termain Lawson was registered level 3 sex offender who, according to the sex offender registry "OFFENDER FORCED A 13 YEAR OF AGE FEMALE TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE DURING WHICH SHE RESISTED AND WAS STRUCK NUMEROUS TIMES AND BITTEN ON THE FACE AND NECK AND BACK."

He also had a lengthy and violent criminal history and appears to have had outstanding warrants.

There was someone who was critical of the police for not calling for an ambulance. However, PD requested MEMS (the local ambulance service) within seconds of the driver jumping.

The Arkansas State Police Trooper who performed the PIT/TVI is a rookie Trooper.
