Elon Musk: Neuralink | Transcendence & Predictive Programming

In this short clip we see a cameo of Elon Musk during a presentation on A.I. advances on neural engineering in the film Transcendence, originally released in 2014.
The plot of the film is essentially about the creation of a sentient computer and uploading one's consciousness into the quantum computer.
Two years later in 2016, Neuralink is founded and is offically launched in 2017. As we know Neuralink is being touted as a medical advancement [like in the film] aimed to treat serious brain diseases with the eventual goal of human enhancement aka transhumanism.
They never really are just 'movies' are they?

His mesh electronics mimic the size, shape, and feel of real neurons; can record, track and modulate individual neurons and circuits for up to a year or more; and provoke almost no immune response. In addition, Lieber’s electronics have already demonstrated a valuable trick of their own: They encourage neural migration, potentially guiding newborn neurons to damaged areas, like pockets created by stroke.“
