An alleged carjacker laid down in front of a bus that stopped Midtown traffic and jumped on top of a Cadillac SUV after he crashed a stolen car into a taxi over the weekend, wild video shows. The chaos unfolded when Terrence Brooks, 37, allegedly opened a driver’s door on 55th Street and Broadway around 11 a.m. on Sunday and told the driver “he liked the car” before stealing the Hyundai Genesis and speeding away, according to a criminal complaint. But Brooks didn’t make it far. He allegedly collided with a taxi when he ran a red light on 55th Street, according to court documents. “What the f–k! Holy s–t,” a man says in a video taken at the scene, as he looks at the carnage.

Moments later, Brooks is seen leaning on the back of the crashed Hyundai sedan. The suspect flails his arms as onlookers tell the bus driver to stay put, the video shows. When Brooks finally gets up, he jumps on top of a black Cadillac SUV, cracking the windshield, the complaint states. “Get down! Get off the car!” cops yell at him while he paces on top of the vehicle, the footage shows. The stunned driver whacks Brooks as cops eventually take him to the ground, according to the clip. Brooks was charged with grand larceny auto and reckless driving, police said. The cab driver was taken to the hospital with pains in his right hip and back. A passenger in the cab was also sent to a local hospital for pain in her right hip, according to court documents.
