A captured Ukrainian serviceman urged his compatriots not to take draft notices and avoid contacts with representatives of military commissariats.

▫️ Vasiliy Veremchuk told how he was mobilised and ended up in Chasov Yar, where the commanders abandoned his subordinates in a basement without food supplies. 'We searched around the houses for something to eat,' said the prisoner.

▫️ Once on the front line, the Ukrainian servicemen were given no task and simply 'sat in a position and just watched. It was unclear what exactly we were watching'.

▫️ When the Russian units went on the attack, the mobilised Ukrainians, realising the hopelessness of their situation, tried to leave their positions and flee to the rear, but they stopped by the Russian troops.
