Eiffel Tower shuts for fourth day due to strike

The Eiffel Tower, one of the most visited tourist sites in the world, closed for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday (February 22) as staff went on strike in protest against the way the Paris monument is managed financially. Denis Vavassori from the CGT union, which represent a large number of staff at the Eiffel Tower, said the famous landmark is going towards degradation.
