About Today's Guest: Dr. Kenneth Cooper
Dr. Kenneth Cooper is recognized internationally as the “father of aerobics,” and the leading spokesman for the preventative medicine movement. He is the founder of both The Cooper Institute, a research and education nonprofit, and Cooper Aerobics. He also serves as chairman of six health and wellness companies. Dr. Cooper is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and the Harvard University School of Public Health. During his 13 years in the U.S. Army and the Air Force, he served as a flight surgeon and director of the Aerospace Medical Laboratory. He has authored 19 books, including his best-seller "Aerobics," "Running Without Fear," and "Controlling Cholesterol." Dr. Cooper and his wife, Millie, have two children and five grandchildren.
