With snow finally covering most of Northern Michigan, snowmobilers are hitting the trails, and with that comes safety concerns while on the trails.
Michigan State Troopers in the Upper Peninsula reported this week of a downstate man losing his life in a snowmobile crash in Chippewa County.
Around 9:40pm on Monday, troopers were called to Trail 47 near highway M-123 in Trout Lake, where the Walled Lake man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 72-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained from the crash, which remains under investigation.
