Paul Murphy - 'Winter In My Heart' . New slow arrangement, Take 4, finger-picked

This was one of those sessions beset by technical gremlins. Maybe emotional ones too, I don't know. I wanted to try out a completely new arrangement of 'Winter'. I'm semi-wary of reworking this one, as I know it's a song that has a lot of fans - I guess we've all walked the path detailed - but I always felt there were more ways to nuance the lyric, and this is one way that I wanted to try out.
This was a nice one in the room. That aura never translates onto tape [pixels these days, I guess], it's one of the vagaries of music, that the musician hears the sound bounce back to them, whereas the audience only get it head on. But I think this one makes it both ways.

Do I appear in yours?

And summer in my grasp
We gaze at empty days now
And mourn for what did not last
