If you thought the movie was bad, check out the marketing! Any lingering ideas as to why Madame Web was such a commercial failure can be cleared up by looking at the absurd way Sony decided to market this failure.

Three words: Madame Web Helicopter.

$100 Million was spent on pictures of Dakota Johnson staring into the universe, poorly animated gifs, basic text-to-speech memes, H-Tier Celebrity endorsements and interviews that made the movie look even worse than SJ Clarkson could have done herself.

This movie will be studied for years as the intersection of all things awful in modern Hollywood.
