Help me out in this experiment, or exercise: Delivery on Readings and Presentation.

How much does my not being a native speaker detract, when I am reading a passage to you, from your ability to focus on the content of what I'm reading? When a foreign language is learnt artificially (naturally is before puberty) one carries, not only the pronunciation of one's native language - though this can be improved - but also its intonation, pace, musicality, rhythm. It is, to the native speaker's ear, in whatever language, something akin to 'being out of tune' a bit. Help me figure out how much my delivery might affect your being able to focus on the content of the reading. Again, the mark will not on my 'English' as such (enunciation, intonation, rhythm, etc.,) but rather on how affects your ability to focus or concentrate on the text being read. Give me a mark in the comments.
