Gale Gordon was born 118 years ago, on Feb. 20, 1906. He was a very busy character actor on both radio & tv. One of the shows he was known for was Fibber McGee & Molly. He played Mayor La Trivia of the mythical town, Wistful Vista. During World War 2, Gale Gordon left the show and enlisted in the Coast Guards. Almost immediately after the war ended, Gale Gordon was honorably discharged and return to Fibber McGee. This episode is his return. From Oct. 2, 1945, "Welcoming Mayor La Trivia Home From Pacific."
