Season 2 Episode 23 - Kim Hermance talks to Steve Stern about how and why she and three others founded Project Civica in New York City on January 2nd of 2024. Their mission is to unite Americans to restore liberty through civic action. One interesting initiative Kim talks about is "Fill the 48". In New York, there were 16 Senate and 32 Assembly races totaling 48 seats with only one candidate on the ballot in 2022. Project Civica states on their website, "How can we have a functioning Republic when the voter has no choice?" 'Fill the 48 Project' will work to put on the ballot Patriots who love New York and want to save it from destruction by our current representatives in Albany. This cannot happen unless the people have a choice to vote for representatives who will speak for them. This will be accomplished by supporting the 'Common-sense Contract with New York'." Project Civica wants to connect people so they can work together to make change.

Kim has been tirelessly dedicated to empowering citizens to “step out and speak up to restore our Republic” since 2021 in New York state and nationally. As a volunteer and founding member of a New York election integrity group, she has coordinated almost 2000 volunteers in over 45 New York counties, gaining experience in the effectiveness of civic engagement. With this valuable experience, Kim decided to design an organization that would encourage citizen civic participation in the governance of the state and nation to solve the challenges Americans face today. Kim held several other volunteer positions including President for a regional military parents association and as an advocate for Special Needs Children and Adults, she helped establish a local non-profit serving on the board for 10 years. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and as a small business owner in the fitness industry, Kim is active in her community and church.
