Former Disney child star Bridgit Mendler announced the launch of her new "space" startup - Northwood Space - which is backed by Silicon Valley venture capital firms like Founders Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, and Also Capital.

Northwood Space aims to "build satellite ground stations that are designed with mass production and customer flexibility first in mind."

Mendler and those around her seem to glow like the sun, with intel connections abounding. Her husband worked for Lockheed Martin and intel-cut out Mitre Corporation and grew up in Northern Virginia. He and his entire family appear to be extremely well-connected.
